On May 9, 1845, Johann Heinrich Petrus Stubbe
established Stubbe Chocolates in the northern
German city of Meppen, laying the foundation for
six generations of chocolate making.

In 1989, almost 150 years later, Heinrich Josef Stubbe
started a new chapter in the family business. He moved
the company to Canada, where today, he and his son,
Daniel, continue their family’s passion with destination
shops in Ottawa and Toronto.

Specializing in chocolate, you’ll also find tortes, pastries
and sweets, all created on the premises, using European
recipes and the finest ingredients from around the world.
Stubbe offers the quality expected of the finest chocolatier.

Visitors can view the open kitchen where mouth-watering
treats are created in front of them.

Generous in spirit, Daniel Stubbe is as comfortable
discussing his own creations as he is in sharing his
expertise with his customers.
