
Introduction to working with chocolate
In this two hour workshop we will take the mystery out of working with chocolate. The main focus is tempering chocolate, the basic skill to working with the "Food of the Gods".
Why do we temper chocolate? What does untempered chocolate look like? Your questions will be answered when you learn to temper chocolate via the "Seeding Method".
We'll show you how to make simple chocolates using molds and introduce piping.

Introduction to making Truffles
In this two hour workshop you will create wonderful, delicious, yummy and rich truffles. At the core of the class is the understanding of ganache. You will use simple recipes for dark, milk and white chocolate. Play with different flavours as well as learn different decorating techniques, maybe even discover some tricks of the trade.

Private Workshops
Private
workshops are held on location at the Stubbe chocolate shop in Toronto. Our
intimate classroom can host 8 chocolate enthusiasts. Classes can be customized
to the interests of the group and run on average 2 hours. We can schedule
your private class any weekday evening. In the fee of $600 all the chocolate,
materials and tools are included.
Chocolate tasting
Invite us to your location for a fun and educational evening about chocolate. You
wil learn about the origins of chocolate, how it is refined, the importance
of a good temper and have all your questions about the “Food of the
Gods” answered. The tasting part of the evening can be customized to
your needs. Whether you choose to sample a collection of truffles or rather
indulge in an assortment of Origin chocolates.
Included in the fee of $600 for the tasting evening are 6 chocolate samples each for 15 people. The fee for each additional participant ranges from $6 to $12 depending on the number of samples and type of chocolates chosen.
Chocolate classes for groups up to 24 people
To accommodate groups of up to 24 participants we are able to rent a separate location for you. These classes are hands-on just like the ones on our own premises. They can be customized to the interests of your group and run on average 2 hours.
The fee is $1750 for the first 10 participants and $90 each for every additional participant.

We offer a fun-filled class teaching your budding young artist how chocolate is made from bean to bar.
This hour and a half class will give the students a hands-on experience working with chocolate to make their own fun treats to take home.
Children ages 8 years and up are welcome to join.

Children's Party
We offer a unique chocolate experience for groups of up to eight children. The event can be designed for the specific age and interest of your group. For further information, or to book an event contact Pastry Chef Sally Hildebrandt at the chocolate shop. We can schedule your private class any weekday evening or on Sundays. In the fee of $560 all the chocolate, materials and tools are included.
